| Description | The Passion for Action Challenge covers energy use, energy efficiency and the basics of Climate Change. Used with the Eco-Choices One Tonne Challenge lab, an interactive science tool of a simulated household, the Challenge guides students through investigative and thought-provoking activities related to household energy use, how energy use choices impact the environment, and what to do about it. During the program, students examine their family's energy use, the equivalent GHG emissions of common household devices, and their own personal behavior patterns. This enables them to make changes around the house to lower GHG emissions. The program complements the Federal Government’s Climate Change Plan and the One Tonne Challenge Program. The program includes a teacher’s guide and a student workbook. See also: One Tonne Challenge http://www.eeap.org |
