Purpose
The purpose of BC Climate Change Exchange is to facilitate interaction between the various government, civil society and private sector organizations in BC engaged in public education and outreach on climate change, impacts and solutions.
Objectives
- Facilitating access to public education and outreach resources on climate change.
- Building on activities undertaken by existing public education and outreach organizations in areas such as transportation and education.
- Increasing the capacity of BC organizations for delivery of climate change public education and outreach activities among BC organizations.
- Identifying and developing strategies to address the emerging needs of the climate change public education and outreach community.
Who We Are
The Fraser Basin Council is coordinating the BC Climate Exchange. An advisory committee that incldues representation from federal, provincial and local governments, private sector and civil society organizations provides strategic guidance to the BC Climate Exchange.
Funding for the initiative is provided by the provincial Ministry of Environment.
